Position Summary

Are you looking for a rewarding career opportunity with an industry leading organization? Bring your experience and motivated attitude to Bridgestone Americas. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Bloomington, Illinois plant.

This facility is owned and operated by Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations and has produced Off-The-Road tires for mining and construction applications since August 1965. More than 420 teammates work in this 82-acre site with a 695,000 sq. ft. facility

In this role the Senior Electrical Engineer position will research, develop, design, test, and implement/install electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. A Senior Professional position applies advanced knowledge of a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Responsibilities

• Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision

• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals

• Supports continuous improvement/automation activities

• Designs and installs/implements electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes

• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
