Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst like you to join our team in Nashville, TN!

This Senior Supply Chain Analyst works with Transportation and Warehousing operations to finalize the monthly finances, create annual budget and forecasts, report key performance metrics, ensure high data quality, and optimize data related corporate processes. At our core our team reports the financial and performance health of the freight and warehousing for the NA region. In addition our team actively pursues process improvements across supply chain corporate and operations to ensure better information flow, data quality, and report timing. The team is growing and we need candidates with strong analytical and process improvement background to continue to help Bridgestone LSCM grow. This candidate must be a highly organized, project oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Strong communication skills adjusting to multiple levels of organization, from peers to leadership, and cross-functionally across business units.

Supply Chain Analytics work includes:

• Performing complex analytics and statistical modelling on large data sets to optimize supply chain operations workflow, reduce costs, and increase efficiency

• Applying mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques to determine and forecast the cost/availability of raw materials, customer demand, production capacity, availability of cost effective shipping, etc.

• Creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify Supply Chain operations improvements and simulate the impact of proposed initiatives

• Partnering with business line managers to understand and frame operational problems for further analysis

  • Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision

  • Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures

  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure proper procedures are followed during the monthly financial close process.

  • Develop annual budget and mid-year forecasts.

  • Run transportation and warehousing ad-hoc analyses on request from stakeholders.

  • Support carrier bid-data governance and process flow.

  • Connect to 3rd-party data providers (API, sFTP, ODBC, EDI).

  • Develop workflows and dashboards for reporting.

  • Implement process improvement solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Root cause analyses of processes failures.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, analytics, business, accounting or finance.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data related roles.

  • Minimum of three (3) years using Alteryx and Tableau or similar data blending tools.

  • Proven record of process improvement implementation.

  • Working knowledge of supply chain transportation and warehousing.

  • Working knowledge of forecasting and managerial accounting.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Able to work in ambiguous situations and respond flexible to changing circumstances, priorities and time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years total analytics experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related Logistics field.

  • Experience with lean organizations, process improvement, and project management.

  • Relevant organizational certifications: Lean (Six Sigma), Agile (ACP), PMP or equivalent

  • Experience with development and reverse engineering of analytical process with Excel, Tableau, SAP, SQL, Alteryx and other Business Intelligence related software.

  • Relevant software certifications: Tableau, SAP, Alteryx, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
