Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its tire manufacturing facility located in Warren County, TN. You will support the Engineering team in researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. You will apply practical knowledge of electrical engineering, work independently with general supervision and work with production departments to conduct continuous improvement and automation activities in the plant.

The Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations plant in Warren County, Tennessee produces truck and bus radial tires, including premium steer and wide base. The nearly 2 million square-foot facility employs more than 1,100 teammates as Operating Technicians, Safety and Health Managers, Quality Assurance, Process Engineers, Production Analysts, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Works on electrical problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals.

  • Applies research to the planning, design development and testing of electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems, write specifications, purchase, install and start-up new equipment to meet the plant’s objectives.

  • Modification of existing equipment as requested by production, technical service, quality assurance, PSD, or maintenance departments.

  • Supports continuous improvement/automation activities.

  • Effectively manages contractors, supports Maintenance to maintain and meet department goals for downtime frequency, A-rank reduction, obsolesces, and non-operational time.

  • ​Effectively manage and control spending of the yearly capital and expense budget targets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
