Position Summary

This Millwright or Industrial Mechanic position is based in Mesa, AZ. This Industrial Mechanic or Millwright is responsible for leading and providing preventative and corrective maintenance repairs to facilities and process equipment to include chilled water systems, cooling towers, hot water systems, compressed air systems, hammer mills, bucket elevators, dust collection, hydraulic systems, centrifugal, seal-less magnetic and positive displacement rotary lube pumps. Base salary for this position is in the $80,000 to $90,000 range plus a 10% annual bonus at target, 4 weeks of PTO, and world-class benefits! This is a Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week position. This person is not on call and does not work weekends!

This person should have solid experience installing and repairing mechanical seals and working with larger scale pumps. Experience with double seal technology would be a huge plus!

This individual will align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and laser alignment and repair and lubricate machines and equipment.

The Industrial Mechanic or Millwright will assemble and install and commission equipment, using hand tools and power tools and use equipment diagrams and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures and trouble shoot operational issues.

This Industrial Mechanic or Millwright will shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.

This is a Research and Development facility which means this individual will work collaboratively with office staff, EH&S teammates, Production Superivisors and Process Technicians in a non-union work environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping Safety First and maintaining a safe work environment as " The Top Priority ".

This person will replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts. They will align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and laser alignment. They will also shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment. This person will work collaboratively with Process Technicians in a non-union environment.

Experience with seal and double seal technologies is a plus!

Participates in planning and coordination of maintenance work, including review of mechanical specifications

Performs reviews of proposed new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts

Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules

Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Supports continuous improvement/automation activities

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of relevant work experience;

GED or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires an Associate's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience
